Self-Defense Training - Standard Programs

Our training emphasizes practical techniques for real-life self-defense scenarios. Usually in 5 parts that the student must master.

Several individuals are practicing martial arts in a gym setting. They are engaged in a grappling exercise on padded mats, wearing traditional white uniforms with colored belts. The room has doors in the background and appears well-lit.

1 ) Starters

The Starter is a key concept in French Combatives, focusing on initiating a conflict proactively. Several solutions such as an arm drag leading to a back control, a classic short hook, etc.).Acting first can provide strategic advantages, such as: Disorganizing the opponent's defense, choosing the time and place to maximize effectiveness and avoid reinforcements, channeling all energy into a decisive initial action, overwhelming the opponent.

3) Close combat

When you are at a very short distance from the opponent standing or on the ground (using headbutts, elbow strikes, Shredder, biting, etc.)

Two individuals are performing martial arts on a dimly lit stage. They are wearing black uniforms with neon green logos on the back labeled 'Team Infinity'. One person is throwing a punch while the other is sidestepping or responding to the movement. The focus is on dynamic action and physical combat training.

2) Takedowns

The A-bomb of Combatives. After watching thousands of hours of fight footage, particularly street fights in the USA, knowing how to execute or counter a takedown is an essential and decisive skill on hard ground.

5) Weapon combat

Weapon combat (knives, kubotan, baton, tactical pen, pepper spray, etc.) with inspirations from Tolpar and Kali against one or few opponents.

Detailed content of a standard course

"Realistic Scenarios" are added regularly: Training in environments and situations that simulate real attacks. Chairs and a table can be used for example to reconstruct a bus, subway, etc., which increases the fighter's adaptability.

The best martial art being determination, I insist on mental conditioning: Psychological preparation to manage the fear and stress of a real combat situation, mainly through intensive practice of sparring

French Combatives transformed my confidence and skills in self-defense. Highly recommend their tailored training programs!
